hey all....i'm starting to list again. slowly....but a little at a time!!!! i found some awesome lots of s/p shakers this weekend and i put tons in my booth at seneca, but i thought the ones above are super sweet!!!!! you get what you see....in vintage condition....some of the stoppers are missing and not everything has been washed perfectly. some shakers are single ones w/out their mates, but the little s/p water can, the jadite small planter, and the beauty shop s/p alone are great additions to your collections!!!!!

i made this collage quite some time ago, but finally found a cool, shabby green board to attach her to!!! made from old book, stamping, collage image, paint, cast off jewels, doilies, lace and ready to hang with heavy wire....she is ready to display!!! this collage is approx 15" high and made from vintage/vintage inspired pieces. unique and one of a kind....

the collage above is made from cast off pieces on board. i used old book pages, lace, various jewels, a cut out from an old postcard, and finished it all off by adding a coat of beeswax to seal and add age. collage is approx 12" high and ready to hang with old wire. one of a kind piece.....made from almost all vintage materials.

welcome!!! i have an eclectic listing of items this week!!! up first is this collage i made on a altered house shaped piece of wood. it is approx 7" tall and i altered it with vintage inspired and vintage images and coated it with briwax to age it.
it is a one of kind piece using buttons bits as well.

i made this altered piece with old wood found by the bay from a house, button flowers, old pin cushion lady, lil bottle, key and wood finial at the bottom. it is ready to hang and perfect for your shabby decor!!!! this piece is over a foot tall from top to bottom (including wire) and hand made by me.

these lil animals are WWWWAAAAY cute!! vintage and never used, they are deadstock but i took them out of the package to show you how cute they are. the package was ripped anyway, so i unleashed these lil guys to let them free. they are all made of rubber and probably from the early 70's or late 60's? they look like little rubber squeeze toys and each is about 2" tall. very sweet. in great vintage condition!!

SOOOO CUTE this vintage fuchsia sweater is!!!! lil dogs and sweetness!!! this sweater is vintage wool and super cute. will fit size 10 CHILD size. it is not a sweater for an adult size. it has lil puppies on it and a real chain for the dogs. so cute!!!!!!! it is in good vintage condition, but has probably been worn some. it isn't perfect, but i don't see rips or tears or holes. very sweet overall.

i've been busy this week creating a few things and finding treasures that i just adore and find sweet and charming.....I LOVE THIS HEART BOX!!!! wow. it is BIG (approx 13.5" across and down). the colors are true shabby pink and purple hues and the condition on this is vintage good! the rose in the center has some wearing and the lace is a bit frayed and faded, but i think that adds to the charm of this box!!! i would love to keep this in my collection, but zoey will write on it or put polly pockets and magic markers in it or something, so it must go on to a better home!!!! lol

OH MY GOSH! how do i looooove these slippers??? let me count the ways! i've had these forever!! i bought them years ago and haven't the nerve to pass them on, but now i'm ready. these are closer to antique than vintage. i think they were stitched quite some time ago...possibly the 20s or before? they are a delight!!! if you love all things tattered, worn, and shabby....you will adore these sweet relics. someone made these years ago by hand and obviously wore them! they are in fair/tattered vintage condition, but they are still intact and can still be worn. i think they would look adorable stitched to a pillow top or atop a pretty stool by the bed.
the hand knotting is amazing and the bows are just pure shabby pink loveliness. these are approx size 6/7 and i've shown lots of photos so you can see the aging on these handmade delights....

i just ADORE this heart bracelet!!! i've had this for a long time, but i don't feel like fixing it, so i am ready to let it go.
this bracelet is handmade with 20 1946 ROOSEVELT DIMES!!!!!! the dimes alone are worth at least $20, if not more!!! i used to wear this bracelet, but the solder weakened in a couple of spots and it needs fixing. even with the flaws, this is still a very unique piece!!! i think it may have been made for an anniversary. i also believe it is made with sterling silver, but i can't promise that. there are no markings on it. please email me with any questions......

i just finished up some projects, so i thought i would list 4 for this week.....
i love making these vintage china plate plaques!!! i glued 3 plates to a cast off pink board. added vintage blanket bias satin for the cord and hung a vintage prism from the bottom with an encrusted jewel. stamped roses in the bottom corner. READY to hang for you shabby cottage decor!!!!

i had so much fun making these junking joy magnets!! made from buttons and small prim hearts...i painted the little hearts cream and scraped them up a bit. then i stamped words and glued magnets to the back of each button.

this is the beginning of august 14th's week long flea finds. i found this doll head at a flea market last weekend. it's marked on the side.....LITTLE MISS BY DIANE SCHARM 1990 and isn't vintage, but would still be a great addition to your collection. this would be a perfect head for a lamp project. she is appox 4 inches tall. i need to clean her still, but otherwise she is in great condition.

my oh my.... i LOVE THIS FAN. i've had this vintage pink tropic aire fan forever!! it is the perfect shade of shabby pink. of course this fan is no longer operable, but it's distinctly a perfect whimsical, shabby piece. would look great in a garden, on a porch with vintage watering cans and flower frogs, or just a fun statement piece in the kitchen!!!

ooooh la la. i ADORE this painting. i've had this for a while. it's a FRENCH vintage portrait i found in EUROPE on my travels there a few years ago!!! i bought it from a vendor in germany that told me he bought it from FRANCE. i just bought it because i LOVED the colors and charm!!! i don't know the exact age, but i would guess the 1940s. it's painted on linen and has NO sig anywhere. it's in fair vintage condition with some fading and a bit of discoloring.....but the canvas is in good shape!! no tears anywhere.

this collage is on wood....images are glued and sealed with a coat of beeswax. i added a rhinestone earring on the bottom and a ribbon to hold. all handmade.

i decoupaged pretty papers in the middle and added a jewel. this would be great to hang an old slip on...jewelry or a bag. i sealed the images in the middle with a coat of wax.

hi bloggers....welcome to this week's FLEA TREASURES!!!! above is a collage made on wood with a printed floral piece decoupaged to it. i added a wire with glass beads to hang it and a green glass prism and vintage lace on the bottom.....

i made this lil junk tassel out of a cast off piece of heart wood....put stickers on that says junk added a string to hang it from a doorknob. i also attached a piece at the bottom to hang a tassel too.....

these key tassel pieces were so much fun to make!!!! i found these LARGE plastic prism pieces from an old chandie. i attached little gems to them....lots of lace and old keys!!! perfect to hang from your old armoires!! very whimsical!!

i haven't posted box treasures in a long time!!! i know...shame on me. i am still filling box order requests though. i have lots of little treasures to fill up a box for you if you need some crafting supplies and little bits and pieces to add to your vintage collections!!!!!
for those of you that are new to the box treasure blog, i will fill up a flat rate box...packed to the gills....with a hodge podge of trinkets!!! it's a grab bag kind of gig, but you will get lots for your $$$$ and if you give me an idea of what you collect, i will be sure to add some of those things as well!!!!
i have lots of trims, lace, fabric scraps, ephemera, dishes, little figurines, some jewelry, clothing, accessories, silverware, books, etc.....you never quite know what you will get!! i usually throw in a collage or handmade item of some sort as well.
all the details are on my sidebar. i may try to start my friday flea back up soon as well. i have some items that are really fun and i'm ready to sell them. i just need to find boxes for some of them!! i'm hoping to have the flea up and running by the end of august!!

i love this lil broken doll....she is darling with her cream colored dress in lace....she comes with a vintage pin i've had in my collections for years. the pin holds 7 pearls....very costume and looks homemade. both are in fair/good vintage condition....well...minus the arms on the doll. she is missing them, poor dear. she is made of paper mache i believe or bisque. she is old.

i love this dress from the 1940's. it has beading on the front and is full length. it has wear and is in fair vintage condition. would be okay for display or dress form, but maybe not for wear. there are a few somewhat visible stains on the front and the belt is missing. still a darling and charming old dress.

awesome lace tablecloth LOT.....HOW MANY LACE TABLECLOTHS DO I HAVE???? let me count the piles. i love these. i use them on my bed, tables, couch throws, kids blankets, and i use them as cutters to make pillowcases. i have 4 that i'm ready to pass on. the first is cotton and has a small red stain close to the center, but otherwise in good condition.
this one is in good condition too and quite large. it's cream colored and is a cotton blend.
i've had this one for a long time. it's small and square. will fit a little table and has a great pattern. in good/fair condition.
last one is slightly stained all over and would be awesome if given a tea bath. would add some vintage/antique quality if tea stained.

OOOOHHH LA LA. i LOVE this bra. don't get me started....why a bra???? these looks so great on dress forms and this one is no exception. don't know the size, but can measure it for you if you need approx size. it appears to be about a 32C cup. it's in good vintage condition and i think it is one i bought when i was in europe. i will also include a super cute shoe clip with it from the 1940's. the two look so good together!!!!!! i love to put shoe clips on slips, bras and sweaters and jackets.

ooooh soooo great!!!!! i love these OOOOLLLD sequin pieces from a 1920's flapper gown!! i had these in a bag and used some of the swatches for various collages. it's time to pass on what i have left. there are two swatches left of these (approx 12" x 5" each) and they are very old and FRAGILE!!! they are in pretty good vintage condition considering their age. they are both from the same dress and are black sequins (very tiny ones). these are so charming and would be fun for a project!!

i am clearing some old silver pieces i have. the swan i posted a while back did not sell, so i am adding 3 more pieces in with her and some cream buttons. the one cup with the wreath is sooooooo a favorite of mine. it says 1957 on it and was a trophy of some sort. i adore it. i had some really cute vintage crocheted flowers in it for a long time. also i have a small trophy like cup to the right and a little compote as well. all are very, very tarnished and on the shabby side. if you love tarnished silver, you will love these pieces!!!!!!!!!

BOHO CHIC.....this is such a wonderful TOTE!!!! it is from SPAIN. how do i know this.....i bought it there. i used it while i was pregnant with zoey and the first year after for a make shift diaper bag!!! this tote is large and made from antique/vintage linens. this piece is so FANTASTIC!!!! it has been sitting in my closet for over a year. time to move it on!!! someone should be enjoying it already!!! it is still in good condition for the condition it's in....lol. i bought it with some wear because that's the way it was made. it's a really fun statement piece!!

hello all....i only have 3 listings this week!! it has been a mighty busy week, so i am trying to manage my own expectations and list fewer items to manage my time!! lol.
i also have my box treasures as well. i still have lots of goodies to ship box lots to you as well!!!!
onto the treasures for this week!!!
i am selling two umbrellas as a lot!!! both of these are just sooooo shabby and wonderful. perfect for booth displays or victorian settings in your home!!!! both are in poor vintage condition, but both umbrellas open and can be displayed as such. i have shown their wear in the photos. i would guess they are both from the 1940s...possibly the one above is from the 1930's.

the one below is black and white.....it has a broken metal thingy, but still opens. it is fair antique/vintage condition. it's old and has wear, but that adds to the charm i think.

next is this absolutely cute minature dress form and dress. this is made of plastic and stands over a foot tall. the dress is pink/peach colored and has rhinestones adorning it. both are vintage and appear from the 1960's.

the dress comes off so the dress form can wear something else.
all snaps are intact. the top snap is somewhat rusty. other than that, these two pieces are in very good vintage condition. such a sweet addition to your vintage prom dress collection!!

OH MY GOSH.....this is a great find!!! i've had this bedspread for over 10 years because i love it so much. i just adore it, but it's time to pass it on!! it's a cutie. sweet roses cover this cotton vintage spread. it's a twin size. i am guessing this is circa late 40's early 50's. it is in really good vintage condition and very, very delicate!!!! just lovely. the colors are still bright and the piping and ruffles are the best!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress. she is so cheery and cottage fresh!!!!!!!! i found her in a second hand shop and just about spit when i saw her. covered in roses, this dress is about a size 8 and maybe from the 1960s? i'm not sure. she may be from the very early 80s as well, but nonetheless.....this is a fantastic find.

dress is in very good vintage condition and all buttons are intact. i think from the design of the dress and the buttons, this is more from the early 1980s.

okay....back to the GLOVE BOX ordeal. i have this fantastic glove box from the 1960s, 2 pairs of vintage black gloves, a lace collar from the 1940's possibly and a linen runner......this comes as a lot.....
the cut work in the black leather gloves is fantastic. both pairs of gloves are in good vintage condition....no tears....and are a size extra small. the are so cute.
lace collar is AWESOME. i want to keep it, but it just screams "i need to go with these other cuties"....

this tablecloth is AWESOME. i found it in germany at a second hand shop. the dimensions are approx. 5ft. 7inches across. it is perfectly tattered for those of you that love old lace. there are a few pulls and worn areas and some discoloration as well, but it just adds to the charm of this old lovely. i don't know the age, but it appears very old and appears to be hand crocheted. perfect addition to anyone that loves old lace!!

this fabric is gorgeous and perfectly shabby!! with some slight vintage wear and minimal fading, these 2 valences are perfect as curtains, runners or sewing fabric for an upcycled purse or pillows!!! these appear to be from the 1940s, but that is a guess. approx dimension are 6 ft x 2 ft. both have been washed and are clean.

this perfectly tarnished water pitcher is the ideal addition to those of you that LOVE tarnished silver as much as i do!!! this one is large and would easily hold a gorgeous bouquet of shabby pink roses or wild flowers in the summer!! the markings on the bottom say CRESENT with a stamp of icons below that. it isn't very heavy, but still very strong.

i decided it was time to make some biz cards...i worked so hard and then realized after i completed them that my blog url was WRONG. yikes. always double check BEFORE flattening layers. i should know that.
i get caught off guard with no cards to hand out from time to time, so i thought it fitting to make some finally.
i have gotten some more pearl buttons, white gloves/black gloves, sewing notions, plates and misc linens in lately!! i have slowed down on the projects for a christmas break. i am also sleeping at night instead of working on projects and my body is loving it!!

i again want to thank everyone that has purchased a vintage treasure box!!!!! i have some orders for christmas coming up and i wanted to let you know i will take special care in wrapping your treasures. i will include a vanilla pine soy tart in each medium/large box as well. if you have a box that will be a gift for someone, let me know and i will make sure the items are wrapped well in tissue paper with bows and bits of vintage ribbon so the unwrapping experience if a little more exciting!!!

i was so fortunate to find these SUPER SWEET figurines last week. i love to collect little vintage knick knacks like these. for the box treasure fans that love these types of collectibles.....i have some stored away!!!! the kitties are my faves.....
i worked on some shabby stars too....will add magnets to the back for vintage fridge flair!!
started tea staining some of my slips, nightgowns and vintage dresses. i love the way this gown turned out!!! it was 65 cents at a local t.store and now it looks like a very antique victorian gown. i will add some lace a little rhinestone center to it and i think it will look fantastic on a vintage hanger or dress form.
plant to start altering some jewelry again. a few pieces here and there......i hope. my intent at least and i found all these great vintage starter pieces!!

i'm so thankful for all the box treasure support!!! thanks to those of you that trusted me to ship you a box of treasures....it has been really fun putting your boxes together!!!! i've been on the trail trying to find goodies that are requested most......old photos (why are these so hard to find for little $$$ these days?), creamy buttons, bling, lace, roses, and birds related things. i've also been making some small collages that have found there way into the boxes as well!!
what does one do with those cheap, plastic cast off frames from the dollar store???? paint them out white, glue lace and old buttons to them and they make a vintage statement that is irresistible. lovely.....easy.....
how beautiful are these ladies??????? i found a lot box full of beauties. i'm smitten, but i know there are doll collectors out there, so i'm beefing up my doll treasures.

loving vintage doll clothing too. it's precious....
and various cast offs......i plan to glue these little oval plates to some of those cast off wood candle holders that hang on the wall. the little heart lid will become part of a collage.
i also made some wreaths from those dollar store Styrofoam wreath thingies....i love the way they turned out!! if purchases a medium or large box, i can include a wreath.....

3 BITS OF BOX TREASURE INFORMATION.....
ONE....the project above. i thrifted this cute jar...added some FRENCH words i printed out...tied a ribbon on it....and voila....it will go out in one of my box treasures....
TWO....on my quest for new treasures today, i decided to stop off at a little warehouse on a busy street corner close to my house. i'm reluctant to go into those never ending yard/moving sale places, but i had a little time w/out kiddos....so i didn't look a gift horse in the mouth and took advantage of a good thing...time....
i'm happy to say that i may have found another new junkin haunt!!! MAYBE...i hope so. i'm crossing my fingers. the man that finds goods for this little junk dive displays diversity.....i like that. i told the lady that took my clams today that i'm ALWAYS...in my sleep even....looking for vintage linens. she told me she had a box of old doilies, but seemed rather let down when she spotted old gloves in there too....AAAHHhh....i'll take the box!!! yes....glove....old....yes. i told her i'm always on the hunt for old granny things....old, girlie granny things....hats, linens, buttons, jewelry, gloves, whatever.....the older and crustier the better. i was so excited when i found a very beautiful silk nightgown in this box as well.....sooo pretty....ahhh. she told me the owner of the place finds ALL KINDS OF STUFF!! i gave her my junking wish list and went on my merry way...
but..what does this have to do with box treasures???? i love to alter those old gloves. i love to use the doilies in collages and i'm trying to build my stash all the time to pass pretties onto you.
these smell like the have been in the box FOREVER. i am lovin the plaster man/woman plaque and plan to reuse it nicely in a collage..
found an entire bag of these lil vintage ornies....they are darling. i'm not that into decorating for the holidays....it sort of stresses me out. i LOVE to look at others decorations, but i get so overwhelmed this time of year. i DO however love vintage christmas ornies. think they are darling....perfect for box treasures.
THREE....FYI..... i recycle wrapping paper, packing materials when i can and boxes for the box treasures....this cuts down on my costs and help out the environment as well.

i would like to share my extended thanks for all of you that have supported VINTAGE BOX TREASURES....i am having so much fun putting all your little treasures together!!! i've been crafting up some goodies lately too.....sort of in the holiday spirit....and i'm totally digging CREAM COLORED....tea stained, lace, buttons, rhinestones and totally tarnished, crazed, faded...that's the palate lately... and of course still loving pearls, roses, shabby pinks and i'm into a soft purple color right now too. i'm collecting fabrics still...tea staining some....and wrapping up breakables in pretty cutter fabrics instead of bubble wrap....that way i can fit more into a box. i hope it's a safe decision!!!
love to make these bracelets from cast off bangles. i wrap them in lace and fancy them with buttons/pearls/rhinestones....sorry...this one and the little train is leaving with a treasure box soon!!
JOY is....THIS....pearls...old dress pieces with rhinestones to use for collages.....and a collage in progress....
fabrics....cutters like this pretty quilt piece i found. i plan to make some small pillows.
loving my goodwill finds lately....like this faded HALL gold dotty bowl....it's fantastic.
been making some altered heart magnets......and tea staining lace curtains with little lace pieces attached.....perfect little snowflake pattern on these curtains.....
and this little ditty is going out soon in a box. easy....fun....a little pink necklace wrapped in a hanky.....and some cute doilies behind it that i want to use for pillow making too.

for those of you that have ordered boxes in the last week, thanks soooo much!! i had a chance to dig thru some buttons and junk in the shed this weekend, and i found enough to start back with the collages. i had so much fun making them for the booth, i've decided to make some and put one or two in each box treasure. i'm out of practice, but it won't take long to get back up to speed...
some finds this weekend.....GLOVES....not a good photo, but i did find some pretty ones.
and of course more cream buttons. can i have enough? i don't think so. they work so well with projects!!!!

i am anticipating participation in a BLOGGER'S BLACK MARKET flea shop online activity very soon. with that in mind, i thought i'd start showing some samples of what my box treasure may look like!!!! i can group together treasures with a theme.....the one below and above have a TEA party theme....with a tea pitcher, party hat, cups, plates, dishes, sugar bowl, bling, doilies, and a tablecloth....of course, if there is room left in the box, i will max it out and fill it up with more!!!!!

just a quick post to showcase what is unfolding this week.....i found some pretty yellow roses, and my doily/linen collection continues to grow of course.....that and my silverware collection....
i am a sucker for pink doilies.....
and my costume pearl collection is bigger and bigger as zoey would say. i have costume pearls for treasure boxes too....
i plan to go back to my necklace man today to see what is new in his shop.....i want to start collecting some country green pearls, pretty purples and pink and yellow. we'll see what he has.

new junking spot!!!!!!!!

i have been lucky enough to find a new junking spot where lil treasures are abundant at a FANTASTIC price!!!! i have started making collages again. slowly....but nonetheless...they are getting made. i found a mission store that sells shelf items....10 for $1.....stuff that i can repurpose and alter and tuck away into BOX TREASURES. i'll post those collages as soon as i finish them!
i was lucky to find several planters....HULL...HAGER.....US/CALIFORNIA POTTERY....yay. love the little pink planter and green planter above. i was also lucky enough to find some jewels....not for the great price of the shelf items, but still a good price. i will continue to shop this store on the hunt for some vintage holiday items and other goodies......like the pretty perfume bottles in the first photo....stamped japan from the 1960s. pretty, pretty, pretty and a very good price so i can pass pretty items like these along to you.
okay....i'm in a somber mood thinking of my peeps at fort hood!!! you all down in texas take care. i'm thinking about you all!!!

i love these little organizers that hang in a closet to collect socks...or whatever they are supposed to collect??? i am using this one to sort my vintage baubles and what nots. i am trying to find the energy and time to make some handmades and collages to put in the treasure boxes for you, so i need a place to showcase what i have w/out having to dig in a can or drawer.....
i also found some cute handmade roses.....
someone put a lot of love and time into these pretties.....they will accompany some boxes as well!!
i also have a huge stash of fabrics now....if you want to order a box and you love to sew, let me know and i will cut some swatches for you!!

my camera is MIA, so i can't take photos of some of the goodies i've been sorting thru for the last couple of days. i have been organizing little bits and trinkets by color/theme, etc. for box treasures.
for those of you that have ordered, thanks sooooo much. i know it's a gamble ordering a box of trinkets and treasures when you are not even sure what you are getting, but i will slowly put photos on my sidebar of box examples. i appreciate the emails and photos that have helped me fill boxes thus far!!
the small flat rate boxes are really only big enough for emphemera, lace, ribbon, some jewels, small trinkets....they are $12 plus shipping. the medium flat rate box will hold almost as much as the large priority flat rate box and both are posted on my sidebar with prices that include shipping.

treasure box jackpot!!

so i was lucky yesterday and prospected a place that unfolded many costume jewelry possibilities. it's a small store in havre' de grace maryland called KEL EES that specializes in costume jewels....some very expensive and some rather cheap....of course i LOVE the cheap stuff.
bruce kelley says he's owned the shop for 8 years....love this place....and he doesn't fool with computers so his outlet to move merchandise is thru his shop. lucky for his customers!! anyway, he was completely friendly and i had a blast digging thru junk jewels and bling....some here....and perfect additions to box treasures!!
i will give you some samples soon of themed boxes i can do....i would love to make some paris inspired boxes or some victorian inspired boxes!!!!
loving these possibilities!!!

i decorated my paris dress form with some of the pearls i found yesterday....he has tons of junk pearls just a hanging everywhere. i will take some photos next time i go in. great shop!

i'm starting to tackle some of the treasures i have stored in my many, many pretty boxes (i use them to camo my hoarding tendencies) and suitcases. i still have things i haven't unpacked from this move on top of things i am not really using at the time. i have lots of ephemera and i'm making stacks of vintage cards/holiday/etc...for the lot boxes. i found a tin with hankies in it yesterday and other various linens. i have a closet with pretty vintage black dresses packed in boxes that i will take out and start organizing too.
let the digging continues and the organizing begin!!!!
