new biz cards!!

i decided it was time to make some biz cards...i worked so hard and then realized after i completed them that my blog url was WRONG. yikes. always double check BEFORE flattening layers. i should know that.
i get caught off guard with no cards to hand out from time to time, so i thought it fitting to make some finally.
i have gotten some more pearl buttons, white gloves/black gloves, sewing notions, plates and misc linens in lately!! i have slowed down on the projects for a christmas break. i am also sleeping at night instead of working on projects and my body is loving it!!

holiday boxes

i again want to thank everyone that has purchased a vintage treasure box!!!!! i have some orders for christmas coming up and i wanted to let you know i will take special care in wrapping your treasures. i will include a vanilla pine soy tart in each medium/large box as well. if you have a box that will be a gift for someone, let me know and i will make sure the items are wrapped well in tissue paper with bows and bits of vintage ribbon so the unwrapping experience if a little more exciting!!!

little buddies.....

i was so fortunate to find these SUPER SWEET figurines last week. i love to collect little vintage knick knacks like these. for the box treasure fans that love these types of collectibles.....i have some stored away!!!! the kitties are my faves.....
i worked on some shabby stars too....will add magnets to the back for vintage fridge flair!!
started tea staining some of my slips, nightgowns and vintage dresses. i love the way this gown turned out!!! it was 65 cents at a local t.store and now it looks like a very antique victorian gown. i will add some lace a little rhinestone center to it and i think it will look fantastic on a vintage hanger or dress form.
plant to start altering some jewelry again. a few pieces here and there......i hope. my intent at least and i found all these great vintage starter pieces!!

new treasure collections.....

i'm so thankful for all the box treasure support!!! thanks to those of you that trusted me to ship you a box of treasures....it has been really fun putting your boxes together!!!! i've been on the trail trying to find goodies that are requested most......old photos (why are these so hard to find for little $$$ these days?), creamy buttons, bling, lace, roses, and birds related things. i've also been making some small collages that have found there way into the boxes as well!!
what does one do with those cheap, plastic cast off frames from the dollar store???? paint them out white, glue lace and old buttons to them and they make a vintage statement that is irresistible. lovely.....easy.....
how beautiful are these ladies??????? i found a lot box full of beauties. i'm smitten, but i know there are doll collectors out there, so i'm beefing up my doll treasures.

loving vintage doll clothing too. it's precious....
and various cast offs......i plan to glue these little oval plates to some of those cast off wood candle holders that hang on the wall. the little heart lid will become part of a collage.
i also made some wreaths from those dollar store Styrofoam wreath thingies....i love the way they turned out!! if purchases a medium or large box, i can include a wreath.....

3 BITS OF BOX TREASURE INFORMATION.....
ONE....the project above. i thrifted this cute jar...added some FRENCH words i printed out...tied a ribbon on it....and voila....it will go out in one of my box treasures....
TWO....on my quest for new treasures today, i decided to stop off at a little warehouse on a busy street corner close to my house. i'm reluctant to go into those never ending yard/moving sale places, but i had a little time w/out kiddos....so i didn't look a gift horse in the mouth and took advantage of a good thing...time....
i'm happy to say that i may have found another new junkin haunt!!! MAYBE...i hope so. i'm crossing my fingers. the man that finds goods for this little junk dive displays diversity.....i like that. i told the lady that took my clams today that i'm ALWAYS...in my sleep even....looking for vintage linens. she told me she had a box of old doilies, but seemed rather let down when she spotted old gloves in there too....AAAHHhh....i'll take the box!!! yes....glove....old....yes. i told her i'm always on the hunt for old granny things....old, girlie granny things....hats, linens, buttons, jewelry, gloves, whatever.....the older and crustier the better. i was so excited when i found a very beautiful silk nightgown in this box as well.....sooo pretty....ahhh. she told me the owner of the place finds ALL KINDS OF STUFF!! i gave her my junking wish list and went on my merry way...
but..what does this have to do with box treasures???? i love to alter those old gloves. i love to use the doilies in collages and i'm trying to build my stash all the time to pass pretties onto you.
these smell like the have been in the box FOREVER. i am lovin the plaster man/woman plaque and plan to reuse it nicely in a collage..
found an entire bag of these lil vintage ornies....they are darling. i'm not that into decorating for the holidays....it sort of stresses me out. i LOVE to look at others decorations, but i get so overwhelmed this time of year. i DO however love vintage christmas ornies. think they are darling....perfect for box treasures.
THREE....FYI..... i recycle wrapping paper, packing materials when i can and boxes for the box treasures....this cuts down on my costs and help out the environment as well.
